Brook View School
Brook View School is a large, light building with a range of teaching spaces, from 1-1 classrooms to areas where small groups can work or socialise together.
Based in a small village not far from Braintree, Brook View School is in close proximity to parks, country walks and small centres where students can shop or practice social and independence skills.
There is a large, fully stocked kitchen which is used for practical food technology lessons or, when not being used for cooking, as another teaching area. There is a light and airy art room and a specialist science store where chemicals are prepared prior to use in science practicals.
The school takes up to ten students (boys only), though some students from our Outreach Service may visit during their transition period or to access the equipment and socialise.
Set in a rambling listed building in Sible Hedingham, the layout of Teaseldown School makes it easy for any student to find a quiet space when they need it. Teaching takes place in small rooms where students can feel safe.
Located in a small town, the school has easy access to local shops where students can practise social and independence skills. However, Sible Hedingham also has easy access to bigger towns and good road links for when students need to travel further afield.
The school has a fully stocked kitchen (which is used for practical food technology lessons) and an outdoor seating area which is used as a classroom in the summer.
Teaseldown School is also our registered exam centre, where all students sit their GCSE and mock exams. During this time, Teaseldown School students will be taught in other locations.
The school takes up to ten students at a time, though some students from our Outreach Service may visit during their transition period or to access the equipment and socialise.
